what do fish have to do with it?

3 minute looping video installation with textiles displaying an alternate persona, the fish, to navigate portals of reflection that live within urban hiding spots.
While reflecting on the objects of institutional monotony, moments of playfulness arise as an encouragement to delve into desire, impulse, love and happiness; let go of conformist routine and make the best out of what you have.

my hands are sticky
sometimes i want to be a fish
just because it looks like fun
it feels so nice
comfortable are these small places
im reminded of the moments i desire, what make up all of me
the chairs at school are so uncomfortable
i just want to play
catch myself from falling
brush the sand from my palms
see the indents on my skin left by the rocks that wanted to join me
sometimes when im hungry, i take the screws out of these tables and eat them
my breath smells like carrots
ive never been so happy
like raspberries on fingertips
